Do I need a Kentra receptionist plan?
No. Kentra Executive works on its own. Or add it to any Kentra plan for $249 a month on top of your plan, plus the $499 Executive setup.
Is Ellis a person?
No. Ellis is an AI assistant. On the demo call it says up front that it's Kentra's AI assistant, and the call is recorded, as the box you tick says. In the app it tells every business it calls for you that it's your AI assistant and, in states that require it, that the call is recorded.
Why "Ellis"?
It's the demo's name. Yours answers to whatever name you give it.
Can it read my email or calendar?
Not today. It works from what you tell it.
What happens to what I type in the sample‑day chat?
The demo chat is deleted after 24 hours and never added to anyone's assistant. If you ask for the call or send the form, your name, number and email come to our team so we can follow up. See our Privacy Policy.
What happens when I talk to Ellis?
Ellis opens the real Kentra Executive app with a made-up day for Jordan, who runs a roofing company. Talk or type for up to 8 minutes. We text you one code first, so each mobile number gets one demo. Your voice is turned into text by our speech providers, and Anthropic's Claude writes Ellis's replies, looking things up on the web when you ask about something current. Nothing is recorded or added to anyone's assistant, and Kentra keeps none of what you say or type after the demo ends; our providers keep it only as their own terms allow. Is the sample‑day chat the real app?
The chat is a stand-in: the same AI (Anthropic's Claude) answering about a made-up day, so you can try it without signing up. The call uses the same voice and phone system as the real evening brief.
Is Talk to Ellis the real app?
Yes. It's the same Kentra Executive app our customers use, with its own made-up memory for the demo. Ellis remembers what you tell it, sets reminders, shows the people map and answers questions. It never calls, texts, emails or books anything in the demo: it shows you a card of what it would do instead.
What happens when I talk to Ellis?
Your voice goes to our voice provider, Retell AI, which runs the conversation. It is recorded and transcribed, and deleted there after 30 days. Nothing you say is added to anyone's assistant. See our Privacy Policy.
Will Ellis call me again?
No. Once a demo call gets through to a number, Ellis never calls it again. After that, only our team follows up, by phone or email, about your request.
